Debra Edmondson
Experienced Attorney
Debra Edmondson graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1996 with a B.A. in Government and Politics. She attended Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and graduated with a J.D. degree in 2004. Edmondson started the Edmondson Law Firm in 2005. She left private practice to take a job as Associate General Counsel with a small oil and gas company in 2006 and during 2007 assumed the position of General Counsel. In 2009, Edmondson was hired as General Counsel for Thomas Stephen & Company, a Dallas based accounting firm. Edmondson oversaw all aspects of Human Resources and assisted in the oversight of various commercial properties owned by the principle. Edmondson has many years of experience working on municipal issues from both sides of the podium and has represented numerous clients before cities and local and state agencies. Edmondson returned to private practice at the beginning of 2011.
Edmondson has been actively involved in the City of Southlake for over twenty years. Edmondson served two (2) terms on the Southlake Planning and Zoning Commission and was elected to the Southlake City Council in 1998. Edmondson is currently the President of the Board of Directors for the Bob Jones Nature Center Organization(501c3) which manages the day to day operations of the Bob Jones Nature Center through a contract with the City of Southlake.
